NBC Olympics Interactive on Verizon

NBC and Verizon wanted to offer an interactive experience for their viewers during the Olympics. With a variety of content available we created a multi-faceted experience that offered viewers a mixture of interactive and dynamic content. We took advantage of the Verizon platform using a variety of remote buttons to offer the user a simple and intuitive experience they could control with one hand. 


Creative Direction

During the 16 days of NBCU's Olympics coverage, nearly one-third of Verizon's 4.47 million FiOS TV customers launched the application more than 3.5 million times. They spent more than 2 minutes on average per session with the app, and more than 60% were repeat users. The ITV application was available on NBCU channels including NBC, NBC Sports, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo and Telemundo.

The application is user initiated from a call to action on four NBC networks during Olympics coverage. Users are presented with dynamic content pulled from NBC Olympics feeds, refreshed at regular intervals. Client was presented with rich metrics, user interaction rates, time on screen and other relevant data.
